Easter

We had a lot of fun this Easter. By far, Jacob's favorite thing to do was hunt for eggs. We did our first Easter egg hunt at church where Jacob was only supposed to collect 10 eggs. Well, this didn't happen. Once Jacob got going, he wouldn't stop. I had to take eggs out of his basket just as quick as he was putting them in. ;) Then, we dyed eggs at Bammie and Pop's house and he and Amanda went on another hunt. He kept saying "find more eggs." Sunday morning came and I asked Jacob, "Guess what we get to do today?" He responded with, "find eggs" It's so funny... it's like he thought it was just going to be an every day activity for us. LOL. He was right though. Jacob then did another Easter egg hunt with Daniel and Steve at Nana and Pap's house. Happy Easter!

Dedication

We had Jacob dedicated at Saddleback church on Saturday. We realize that Jacob is a gift from God and we wanted to be able to show a desire to see God's will be carried out in Jacob's life.

Boy or Girl?

Yesterday we went to the doctor to find out if we were having a boy or a girl. We arrived at the doctor's office at 10:30. Right when I signed in, they said, "Oh there you are." I told them that I thought my appointment was at 10:30 and they said that my ultrasound was scheduled for 10:00. I seriously almost cried. They told me to sit down and I started freaking out to Paul. "How could I have gotten the time wrong?" "What if they say I have to reschedule?" These types of questions went on and on. Paul of course was calm and said it would be alright. Alright, I thought? No, I want to find out what we're having today! Paul began to think this was funny. LOL! :) Anyways a few minutes went by which seemed like forever, when they told me that they'd fit me in. Thank God. They performed the ultrasound and told us the baby is measuring accurately and that it was healthy. Then our big question was answered... It's a BOY! Paul and I were a little shocked because we both thought it was a girl. But ultimately we're so happy that we're having another healthy boy. Also, we're excited that Jacob will get to have the close bond with a brother. We couldn't wait to tell our family and friends that night at Pepperoni's.

Our "baby"

I decided to pull out some of Jacob's baby stuff just to get a little bit organized. When I took this little travel bassinet out he started saying "baby... baby" and climbed right on in. I thought it was funny.......

"Do I fit?"

"How about this way?"

"Peek-a-boo!"

There's never a dull moment with this kid!!

Our silly boy

There are so many things that Jacob does these days that make Paul and I laugh. And with each day that goes by, the list gets longer. Here are a few that I can think of off the top of my head...

1. Every night before bed, Jacob asks to dance. So we crank up the music and dance. If he doesn't like the song we put on, he says "song." Paul's taught Jacob some pretty interesting dance moves :)
2. Jacob loves to give hugs and kisses and to tickle. Whenever he hugs he says "hug" when he kisses, he says "kiss" and when he tickles someone he says "tickle".

3. Every meal we have, Jacob asks for cereal.

4. Okay, this one is not that funny but seeing that he's a Conzelman male, it makes sense.... When Jacob farts, he laughs! :/

5. While saying prayers at night or before a meal, Jacob smiles and watches Paul and I until we say "amen" and then Jacob says "amen" over and over again.

Jacob's 2nd Birthday

Jacob celebrated his 2nd birthday this last weekend with a small party at home with our family. It was themed "Go Diego, Go" because he adores Diego. Every morning we let Jacob choose one show to watch and 9 times out of 10 he chooses Diego. Jacob's favorite thing to do at his party was bouncing in the bounce house. He only came out to get right back in. Oh, and for "CAKE" which he couldn't stop saying once he saw the cupcakes. About a month ago I thought it would be a good idea to practice blowing out a candle so he'd be ready on his birthday. Well, the first couple times practicing, he basically just spit on the flame. That's when I decided cupcakes would be best for his birthday :) But by the time his bday came, he was a pro at blowing out a candle! We had a fun day celebrating with our family. I cannot believe he's already two. It's absolutely amazing how time flies by. Happy Birthday Jacob. We love you and look forward to another amazing year watching you grow and learn. We are blessed to be able to love on you every day.
